7 Ways to Get into the Spooky Spirit of Halloween in Bellevue

You’re never too old to get swept along in the spooky spirit of Halloween. If you’ve not yet settled on how you’ll commemorate this ghoulish night, you’re in luck: There are plenty of Halloween activities in the Bellevue area to fit everyone’s taste.

Below is our Bellevue Halloween 2019 to-do list. We hope you’ll find it a useful guide to Halloween events in Bellevue and beyond.

Options for a kid-friendly Halloween

We’ll start with a few suggestions for families. If you’re looking for all-ages Halloween events in Bellevue, any of the following are sure to be a great time.

  • Halloween on the Hill. One of the go-tos for a kid-friendly Halloween in Bellevue is Halloween on the Hill. This year’s event will take place at the South Bellevue Community Center on October 26th—which means you can start your celebration a few days early! (Or perhaps use this as an excuse not to go traipsing through your neighborhood on All Hallows’ Eve this year.) The event promises an entire day of spooky fun, games, races, treats, and a scary movie to cap it all off.
  • Trick or treating at Bellevue Family Fun Fest. Take your costume-clad kiddos to Bellevue Square for the Family Fun Fest. It lasts from 5 to 7 PM on Halloween and provides the whole family a chance to trick-or-treat, take goofy photos in the photo booth, and more.
  • Go to the Pumpkin Bash at Woodland Park Zoo. On October 27th, you can make the trip into Seattle proper for the Pumpkin Bash at the Woodland Park Zoo. See some animals, get some candy, and find more age-appropriate Halloween fun!

Adults-only Halloween fun

If your Bellevue Halloween 2019 plans don’t include any little ones, there are a couple of grown-up options for you to celebrate the day.

  • Grab cocktails at Civility & Unrest. You don’t really need an excuse for a nice drink with a friend or loved one, but why not take advantage of the holiday and do some celebrating on your terms? If you’d rather not get too deep into Halloween tomfoolery, why not just cozy up for some cocktails at one of the area’s most exciting bars?
  • Go to Maggiano’s for dinner… and a murder! Have you ever been to a dinnertime murder mystery? If not, you might set aside some time on Friday, October 25th to head to Maggiano’s Little Italy in Bellevue, where you can enjoy some ghoulish, adults-only fun (plus some amazing family-style Italian cuisine).

Fun for the whole group

Grab your go-to group of friends and hit the town for a haunting good time. Whether you opt to wear a costume or not, you have options to get into the spirit with your squad.

  • Experience the thrills and chills of a haunted house. If you and your friends are looking for spine-tingling fun, the Bellevue area’s best-reviewed haunted house is the Georgetown Morgue. Enter at your own risk!
  • Head to the Suite Halloween Bash. If you’re not a fan of jump scares, head Suite Halloween Bash instead to enjoy music, drinks, and, of course, a costume contest—complete with big cash prize! It happens on Saturday, October 26th, so start planning that costume now.
